The Minstrel Players Announce Holiday 2004 Production

The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport, Long Island's most exciting theatrical group, prepares for their first-ever Holiday production at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village. They will be staging Charles Dickens' classic, "A Christmas Carol", and hope that it will become a regular Northport holiday tradition. Performances are one weekend only on Friday, December 10th and Saturday, December 11th at 8 P.M. and a 3 P.M. matinee on Sunday, December 12th. The performance on Friday, December 10th will have a special opening night ticket price of $10 for all seats. 

"A Christmas Carol" is adapted from the Charles Dickens novel by Jef. and Tara Lawrence. Tara Lawrence is also directing this production with Debbie Palen acting as Assistant Director. The cast features Ray Palen as Scrooge and many Minstrel Players veterans in various roles - Jef. Lawrence, Tara Lawrence, Peter Guarascio, John Lucas, Tom Williams, Jim Thomas, Rick Mohr, Karen Ottomano, Karen Keenan, Jessica Lucas, Roseann Baldanza, Dennis Dudley, Rodney Dudley, Anne Albano and Eileen DerAris. Additionally, the large cast features many newcomers to the Minstrel stage - specifically, a group of 16 children ranging in age from 5 to 13, who all perform in various roles. The Minstrel Players are up for the challenge of bringing this well-known holiday classic to life and the founding members are all "A Christmas Carol" experts who found inspiration for their rendition in the countless classic stage and film productions of this famous novel. The Minstrel Players hope that their staging becomes a new holiday tradition for the Northport area!
