FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The Minstrel Players Move to Northport

The Minstrel Players Theater Company, one of Long Island’s newest and most enthusiastic theatrical voices, has moved to their new home at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village. They will be performing their Autumn production of "Bell, Book and Candle" by John Van Druten on Saturdays, October 27th, November 3rd and November 10th at 8:00 PM, and Sundays, October 28th, November 4th and November 11th at 3:00 PM.

The Minstrel Players are fresh off their highly acclaimed stagings of "Heaven Can Wait", "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "The Man Who Came to Dinner", all of which were performed over the past few seasons in Levittown. It is a family affair, run by co-founders Ray Palen and his wife Debbie Palen, along with his sister Tara Palen-Schwartz and her husband, Cary Schwartz. Ray and Debbie Palen are Northport residents and are very excited at the opportunity to bring quality theater to the Northport area.

"Bell, Book and Candle" is an appropriate show for the Halloween season, featuring witches and warlocks in a spellbinding, bewitching romantic-comedy. You may recall the classic movie of the same name that starred Kim Novak, Jimmy Stewart and Jack Lemmon in 1958. The stage version is even better and should prove to be an enjoyable evening for both young and old audiences!

The Minstrel Players are committed to bringing high quality, affordable theater to the Long Island Region. Tickets are $12.00 each and $10.00 for Seniors (Sunday performances only). For more information please call (631)754-4246. You can also visit the Minstrel Player’s official website at www.minstrelplayers.com, to see pictures of past shows and get more information about the group. Hope to see you at the show!
