THE MINSTREL PLAYERS PRESENT TIM KELLY"S ADAPTATION OF MARY SHELLY'S HORROR CLASSIC "FRANKENSTEIN"  

DIRECTED BY TOM WILLIAMS AT HOUGHTON HALL THEATRE.

The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport prepare for their fall production of Tim Kelly's faithful adaptation of Mary Shelly's classic novel, "Frankenstein". Performances begin on October 28th and run through November 12th at Houghton Hall Theatre at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village. Performances will take place on Saturdays October 28th & November 4th & 11th at 8 P.M. and Sundays, October 29th & November 5th & 12th and 25th at 3 P.M. The performance on Saturday November 4th will be a special Dinner Theatre production with dinner beginning at 630PM.

The Minstrel Players are fresh off their critically acclaimed staging of Robert Harling's "Steel Magnolias". What better way to celebrate the Halloween season than with the classic chiller, "Frankenstein", Directed by Minstrel veteran, Tom Williams. The cast features Minstrel veterans as well as newcomers: Ray Palen (Victor Frankenstein), Karen Ottomano (Frau Frankenstein), Cormac Barrett (Inspector Ernst), Roseann Baldanza (Sophie), Michael De Mar (Henry), Katie Brooks (Justine) and ??? (The Creature). The action of Kelly's "Frankenstein" is set in the Lake Geneva chateau of Victor Frankenstein. Victor, a brilliant scientist, has returned here to escape a terrible pursuer - the Creature he created in his own lab. No one can shake free the dark secret that terrifies him. Not his mother, nor his fiancée Elizabeth, nor his best friend, Henry Clerval. The Creature tracks Victor to his sanctuary to demand a bride to share his loneliness. Against his better judgment, Victor agrees and soon the household is invaded by murder, despair and terror. Tim Kelly's faithful adaptation of the Mary Shelly novel will definitely bring chills to all who dare to enter Houghton Hall this Halloween season to witness the Minstrel Player's Fall thriller.
