THE MINSTREL PLAYERS PRESENT LUCILLE FLETCHER'S THRILLER "NIGHT WATCH" 

DIRECTED BY RAY PALEN AT HOUGHTON HALL THEATRE.

The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport prepare for their fall production of Lucille Fletcher's thriller, "Night Watch". Performances begin on October 27th and run through November 11th at Houghton Hall Theatre at Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village. Performances will take place on Saturdays, October 27th & November 10th at 8 P.M. and Sundays, October 28th & November 4th & 11th at 3 P.M. 

The Minstrel Players are fresh off their critically acclaimed staging of Neil Simon's "God's Favorite" this past August. What better way to celebrate the Halloween season than with a classic thriller in the Alfred Hitchcock mold, "Night Watch", Directed by Minstrel founder, Ray Palen. The cast features Minstrel veterans as well as newcomers: Roseann Baldanza, Cormac Barrett, Jennifer Dallari Chirles, Jim Connors, Tara Palen, Linda Randolph, Dan Smith and Daniel P. Stravino. "Night Watch" debuted on the Broadway stage in 1972 and shortly thereafter in 1973 a film version came out starring Elizabeth Taylor and Laurence Harvey. The story deals with troubled heroine, Elaine Wheeler, who is unsettled by memories and vague fears that may all be in her mind. Her husband and her best friend both try to comfort her when she begins screaming uncontrollably after seeing what she believes is a dead body in the abandoned building across from her library window. Elaine's terror grows as she shortly thereafter witnesses another body - even though the NYPD are unable to turn up any evidence of these sightings. Is Elaine really seeing the hideous results of murder or is she merely a woman on the edge of a nervous breakdown? The cast contains many characters that may or may not be who they appear to be on the surface, and this lends to the constant tension and deception that "Night Watch" provides the audience.

The Minstrel Players are committed to bringing "World Class", affordable theater to the Long Island Region. Tickets are $15.00 each and $12.00 for Seniors/Children under 12.
