THE MINSTREL PLAYERS ANNOUNCE THEIR FALL 2010 PRODUCTION!
The Minstrel Players Theatre Company of Northport Village continues their 2010
Season with a Fall production of Ken Ludwig's clever thriller, "Postmortem".
They are coming off their extremely successful Summer staging of Anthony Shaffer's,
"WHODUNNIT". Performances will be over two weekends only on Saturday, November 13th and 20th at 8 P.M. and Sunday, 3 P.M. matinee
performances on November 14th and 21st at Houghton Hall - Trinity Episcopal
Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village.
The production will be co-directed by Minstrel founders, Ray and Debbie
Palen, with a cast containing returning Minstrels: Evan Donnellan, Jocko
Malacchi, Carl Nehring, Karen Ottomano, Ray Palen, Tara Palen and Patty Servidio, along with Minstrel newcomer: Lara Hunter.
The ‘World Class' crew is rounded
out with Robert Cashman - Technical Director, Andrew Schild - Stage Manager and Bernie Caprera - Lighting
Director. "Postmortem" is a Sherlock Holmes inspired thriller that features
a weekend involving actor and playwright, William Gillette, best known for
portraying Sherlock Holmes more times than any other actor in history. When he
invites the cast of his latest play to a weekend at Gillette Castle in Connecticut he is
horrified when one of his guests makes an attempt on his life. Calling upon all of
his Sherlock Holmes knowledge, Gillette attempts to solve the mystery of his own
attempted murder while trying to stop the killer before they can get another shot at
him. Mystery fans and Holmes fans alike should relish in this engaging and highly
entertaining thriller!
