*FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Minstrel Players Announce Fall 2003 Production

The Minstrel Players Theater Company of Northport, Long Island's most exciting theatrical group, prepares for another performance at the Trinity Episcopal Church, 130 Main Street in scenic Northport Village. They are following their acclaimed staging of "The Butler Did It, Again" this past June. Next up for the Minstrels is Tim Kelly's adaptation of the classic ghost story, "The Uninvited" This production will run Saturdays, October 25th & November 1st, 8th & 15th at 8:00 P.M. and Sundays, October 26th & November 2nd, 9th & 16th at 3:00 P.M. The Saturday, November 1st show will be a specially priced Dinner Theatre production.

"The Uninvited" marks the directorial debut of long-time Minstrel, Jef. Lawrence, and features a cast of returning "Minstrels" players in addition to some fresh faces: Anne Albano (Nurse Holloway), Armand Catenaro (Commander Brooke), Debra Dommasch (Wendy Carey), Rodney Dudley (Lizzie Flynn), Amy Jorrisch (Mrs. Jessup), Karen Keenan (Stella Meredith), Tara Lawrence (Pam Fitzgerald), John Lucas (Max Hilliard), Rick Mohr (Dr. Scott) and Ray Palen (Roddy Fitzgerald). Keeping everyone in line is the Assistant Director/House Manager and co-founding member, Debbie Palen. Executive Producers Ray and Debbie Palen are Northport residents and, along with co-producers Jef. And Tara Lawrence, are very excited at the opportunity to bring quality theater to the Northport area.

"The Uninvited" is an adaptation of Dorothy Macardle's classic novel that features a brother and sister, Roddy and Pam, who purchase a house in England by the name of Cliff End that overlooks the Irish Sea. Cliff End has an unsavory reputation due to the fact that fifteen years earlier a murder may or may not have occurred by the gnarled tree that can be viewed from the parlor window. What ensues is the stuff of classic ghost-story lore – blowing windows, unexplained cool drafts, dreadful apparitions and even a séance. The action builds steadily to a truly terrifying climax in which the ghost is discovered to be not only real but also dangerous! Many people will recall the classic film of the same name that starred Ray Milland and Ruth Hussey in 1944.

The Minstrel Players are committed to bringing high quality, affordable theater to the Long Island Region. Tickets are $14.00 each and $12.00 for Seniors/Children. Opening Night tickets are specially priced at $10.00 each. The Dinner Theatre show is priced at $30.
